Obituary

John Michael Chislow Jr., 78, of Sullivan, passed away at his home after a lengthy illness on Sunday, April 21, 2019. He was born on December 11, 1940 to the late Ann (nee Kolenc) and John Michael Chislow Sr. in Smithton, PA. John had worked for Ford Motor Company as a millwright for 40 years before retirement. He had a passion for airplanes and restoring old cars. He was a member of the International Edsel Club and would attend meets all over the country. He is survived by his loving wife Betty (nee Pate) Chislow; children, Michael (Liz) Chislow, of Parma, Ronald (Mindy) Chislow, of Seville, Mark (Paula) Chislow, of Cleveland; step-children, David and Lavada Warner; grandchildren Michael, Nicole (Ben), Bobby (Beatrice) , Corey, Drew, and Janice; great grandchildren, Ruby and Finn; step-grandchildren, Stacy, Erik, and Stormy; siblings, Nancy, David (Susan) and Jerry (Linda); and a loving uncle to many. He is preceded in death by his parents and first wife, Janice Chislow. Family and friends will gather on Wednesday, April 24, from 5-8 p.m. at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 S. Main Street, Wellington. Services will be held on Thursday, at the Wellington First United Methodist Church, 127 Park Place, Wellington beginning at 11 a.m. Pastor Paul Wilson will officiate and burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery BrookPark.
