John G. Conrad, age 52, of Wellington, died June 6, 2008 after a short illness. He was born in Wakeman to the late Gerald and Camilla (nee Townsend) Conrad. John was a 1974 graduate of Wellington High School and attended the Lorain County Joint Vocational School. He worked at the Whirlaway Corp. for several years. John took pleasure in his fruit trees. Building things with metal was a hobby that John excelled at and enjoyed; he also was a good welder. Survivors include his sisters, Jill (Rick) Fox of Wellington and Janice Mesick of Elyria and his niece, Dorothy Fox. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
