John Celcus Daye Jr., 58, a resident of the area, died on January 1, 2024.  He was born on March 23, 1965, in Sandusky to Frances (Mickes) Daye and the late John C. Daye Sr.  John Jr. was a graduate of Edison High School and EHOVE.

He loved animals, especially dogs, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and being with his family.  He worked at I.P.C. (Industrial Powder Coating) for 17 years, and while in Pennsylvania worked for Red Lobster for 20 years.

John is survived by his mother, Frances Daye; sisters, Nancy Cruz and Tammy Bennett; son, Jeffery Daye; and brother in-law, Rick Bennett.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Daye Sr., son, "J.C." Daye; grandparents, and a brother and a sister.

A visitation is planned for Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 W.
