John C. Donahue, 72, of Sullivan, died Monday, December 9, 2024 at the Elms Retirement Village.

Born February 22, 1952 in Medina, he was the son of the late Edward and Evelyn Donahue. John grew up in Medina and graduated from Medina High School. He briefly served in the Navy before receiving a medical discharge. In the early 90's John relocated to Virginia Beach, returning to Ohio in 1995 and settling in Sullivan in 1997.

John worked in construction, owning Creative Remodeling, and later working for Kerricook Construction. He enjoyed racing and for many years raced sprint cars with his brother and father.

Survivors include his loving wife, Diane, whom he has been with since 1996, and married in 2012; children, John C. (Shelley) Donahue II, Charity Reed, Mike (Cheyenne) Kanaris, and Jennifer (Eddie) McAbee; grandchildren, Mason, Cyra, Henry, Korallynne, Liam, Bane, and Deklynn; and siblings, Pat, Edward, Evelyn, and Susie.
