Obituary

Johnathan Lee Greenhill, 49, of Penfield, died Sunday, February 8, 2015 at Mercy Hospital in Lorain. Born in Cleveland on April 8, 1965, John grew up in Columbia Station. He was a 1983 graduate of Midview High School. John worked at Harrison Ford as an Auto Mechanic for many years. He was a member of the Wellington Eagles Aerie 2051. He liked playing cards, traveling and watching Ohio State Football and the Browns. Boating on Lake Erie was a favorite pastime where he would "drink, smoke, and float" the day away. Above all, John enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Survivors include his wife, Angie, of 26 years; children, Nathan and Katie, both of Penfield; parents, Arthur and Diana (nee Germ) Greenhill and brothers, Jim and Mike Greenhill. He is also survived by his dog, Spätzle. A celebration of John's life will be held at the Wellington Eagles, 631 S. Main St., Wellington on Thursday, February 12, 2014 at 6 p.m. Casual attire is appropriate; food, drink and entertainment (poker, cornhole) is provided. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in memory of John be directed to the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America and mailed to: CCFA Northeast Ohio Office, 4700 Rockside Road, Suite 425, Independence, Ohio 44131.
