John "Bimbo" Honoshofsky, Sr., passed away at the age of 74 on January 8, 2016. Born on February 12, 1941 in Oberlin to John and Helen (nee Delinsky) Honoshofsky, Bimbo spent most of his life in Wellington. In May of 1995, he retired from Wellington Utilites after more than 30 years. Bimbo retired from the Wellington Fire Department as Assistant Chief after 12 years of service. He also did tree trimming and farming.
He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Wellington and the Wellington Eagles Aerie 2051. Bimbo enjoyed working on equipment, camping, traveling and most of all "wheeling and dealing."
He has been married to his wife, Pat (nee Perkins), for 23 years. He is also survived by his children, Brenda (Randy) Leiby, Beth (Steve) Albrecht, John (Brandy) Honoshofsky, Jr., Julie (Brian) Twining, Brett Benton, and Angie (Chad) Regal; sisters, Marie McLaughlin and Janice Honoshofsky; brothers, Robert (Dee) Honoshofsky and Richard (Donna) Honoshofsky; 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Toby Honoshofsky.
