John Osterland, Jr., age 72, of New London, died on Friday, September 19, 2025 at Fisher Titus Medical Center in Norwalk. Born February 17, 1953, in New London, to John and Judith (Wisler) Osterland Sr., he graduated from New London High School and EHOVE.

A proud veteran of the United States Army, John was a member of the New London American Legion and AmVets. John was a past president of the New London Eagles and enjoyed browsing flea markets and playing golf.

John is survived by his siblings, Mark Ostlerand of New London, Debra Farnsworth of New London, and Vicky Mack of Plymouth. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, LeeAnn Schneiter.

In accordance with John's wishes, there will be no services at this time. Interment will take place at Grove Street Cemetery in New London at a later date. The Eastman Funeral Home in New London is honored to assist the family with their arrangements.
