John Patrick Kelly, 54, of New London, died April 29, 2014 after a lengthy illness. Born on November 25, 1959, in Washington Court House and was raised in New London. He lived in Alamosa, CO, Cumberland, MD, Sunbury, OH and most recently New London. He graduated from New London High School in 1978. Pat was a welder and found his calling working on steam engines. Pat was a member of the Cleveland Iron Workers Local 17. He enjoyed telling stories, gardening and woodworking. Pat was an avid Ohio State and Browns fan. Survived by his children, Tasha (Joe) Miller of New London, Amanda (Bryan) Clime of New London and Jay (Melissa) Kelly of North Fairfield; granddaughters, Gracie Miller and Lilian Clime; father, John (Louieda) Kelly of New London; siblings, Leanne (Bill) Moorman of Bethel, OH, Laurie (Marty) Beck of Norman, OK, Beth Mackley of Marengo, OH, Peggy (Jim) McMains of Galena, OH and Rebecca Ondo of Worthington, OH and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his mother, Elaine Kelly. Visitation from 12 p.m. until the time of service at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Ripley Church, 4130 South Edwards Road, Greenwich with Pastor Eric Robinson officiating. Burial will follow in Edwards Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the family in care of Eastman Funeral Home, 200 West Main Street, New London, Ohio 44851.
