Obituary

John L. Lowery, II, 50, of Greenwich, died Saturday, February 5, 2022, at the Cleveland Clinic. Born on September 16, 1971, in Willard, he was the son of Marcella (nee Hippler) and the Late John L. Lowery. Affectionately known as Big John, he was a 1990 graduate of South Central High School.

A dedicated and hard worker, John worked for Lake Park Industries for 31 years. He was an avid sports fan, enjoyed watching the Browns, Ohio State football, and the Indians. John also enjoyed coaching flag-football for a time. He also enjoyed music, especially Metallica. John loved taking his dog Buckeye for rides, attending concerts, playing card games, and spending time with friends and family.

Survivors include his wife and companion of 15 years Lora (nee Tackett); children, Hali Lowery, of GA, Nathan Hammond, of Shiloh, and Page Thomas, of Bowling Green; grandchildren, Aiden and Kohwen; his mother Marcella Lowery, of Greenwich; sister, Kim Lowery, of Greenwich; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. John was preceded in death by his father John "Jack" L. Lowery, and his sister Tracy Lowery-Caudill.

Friends and family will be received on Wednesday, February 9, from 2 p.m. at Shiloh Pentecostal Church of God, 117 Baseline Road W., Shiloh, until the time of services beginning at 4 p.m. Pastor Mark Wireman will officiate.
