John C. Sheldon, 74, of Ashland and formerly of Wellington, died Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Ashland, Ohio.  Born on September 21, 1946 in Oberlin, he was the son of the late Donald C. and Vera "Boots" (Luce) Sheldon.

John served his country as part of the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War.  He loved attending air shows and was a fan of the Cleveland Browns, Indians, Cavs and NASCAR.

Survivors include his stepdaughter, Julie Saterfield; siblings, Jeff (Violet) Sheldon and Judith (Harry) Wetherbee and many nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his wife, Nadra and brother, Jay.

John requested there be no public services but that any donations in his memory be directed to the ASPCA.
