John P. Smith, 57, of Bellevue, Ohio, died on Thursday, March 11, 2021. He was born on November 28, 1963 to the late Sue (Braden) and Eldon Smith.

He was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church in Norwalk, Ohio and worked for Precision Automotive for 20 years. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and spending time with his grandchildren.

John is survived by his daughters, Lindsay (Corey) Smith Stanfield and Michaela Smith; grandchildren, Kaden Danhoff, Lillian Danhoff, and Daxton Stanfield; step-grandchildren, Makylin Feltner, Drake Stanfield, and Addison Standfield; siblings, Terri Cunningham, Karen Smith, Jeff (Maggie) Smith, Jillian Patterson, and David Smith; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

In addition to his parents, John is preceded in death by his brother, Larry Smith.

His family will receive guests on Monday, March 15, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 West Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio 44857. His funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Alphonsus Church, 1322 Settlement Road, Norwalk, Ohio 44857. Visitors are required to bring and wear a mask during the visitation and funeral mass and are encouraged to follow all social distancing and mass gathering guidelines. John will be cremated, and a private family burial will be held at a later date at St. Alphonsus Cemetery.
