John H. Vaught Sr., 67, of Ashland, died Thursday, May 3, 2012, at the Wooster Subacute Center. He was born in Lincoln Co. KY on January 9, 1945 to the late William and Margaret (nee Young) Vaught. John lived most of his life in the Sullivan area.
John worked as a custodian for Wellington High School and also worked for the Lorain Shipyards. He enjoyed Fishing and just driving around. John was also an avid wrestling fan and liked to spend time with his friends.
John is survived by his children John Jr. (Tina)of Kent, Melissa Vaught of Ashland, and Wendy Berger of Elyria; Grandchildren Abigail, Dana, Mat, Debbie, Britny, Elizabeth, and Jason; as well as great-grandchildren Tessa, Andrew, Hunter, Chase, Autumn, and Laila. John is also survived by his wife Jackie Vaught and siblings Jim (Brenda) Vaught, Harvey Vaught, and Opal Crank. He was preceded in death by his siblings Eva, Tom, and Mildred.
Friends and family will be received on Monday, May 7, from 10 a.m. until the time of the 11 a.m. service at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 South Main Street, Wellington. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Wellington.
