Obituary

John Floyd Verhovec, II. 18 of Sandusky, was called home to be an Angel with the Lord on Thursday, February 15, 2018. He was born June 21, 1999 in Norwalk. John had lived most of his life in Huron County and the past couple of years in Sandusky. He was a graduate of North Point Educational Services and Sandusky City Schools. John had worked for the Neighbor to Neighbor Food Pantry in North Fairfield. He loved animals, especially birds and dogs. He was a Pittsburgh Steelers fan. John never met a stranger, he loved helping others. He is survived by his parents, Judith (Ron) Verhovec and John (Wanda Norman) Verhovec; his siblings, Devin McCallister, Amber (AJ) Lillo, Joe Gaverrete, Taran Verhovec; stepsiblings, Raven Marvin, Tori Marvin, Chiersten Tackett; grandparents, Judith (William) Suddith and Norma Hanlon; many nephews, aunts and uncles. Friends may call from 1-3 p.m. Friday, February 23, 2018 at the Eastman Funeral Home in Greenwich. Burial at Maple Grove Cemetery, New Haven will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the family in care of the funeral home.
