Johnny Allen Petroff, 67, a lifelong resident of New London, died Saturday, October 14, 2017 at Fisher-Titus Medical Center in Norwalk. Born on July 2, 1950, he was the son of the late Nick and Virginia Ruth (nee Westfall) Petroff. Johnny was a 1969 graduate of New London High School. Johnny lived at the New London Aire Apartments for nearly 30 years before moving to the Laurels of New London. He had been a member of the New London Eagles at one time. Johnny loved to mow the lawn when he was able. He always tried to help others and will be remembered as a friendly guy. Johnny loved his pets and he cherished time with his great-nieces and nephews. Survivors include his siblings, Nick and Pam Petroff of New London, Mike Petroff of TX, Diane Hoyman, Judy Harris and Cheryl Petroff all of TN and Rick Petroff of Jeromesville; his aunts, Eunice Bardis, Anita Nelson and Shirley and Corky Nichols; several nieces and nephews. Johnny was preceded in death by his parents, Nick Petroff and Ruth Meade; stepfather, Woodroe Meade; brother, Keith; sisters-in-law, Sandy and Mary and brothers-in-law, Tom and Bud. Friends and family will be received on Thursday, October 19, from 4-7 p.m. at Eastman Funeral Home, 200 West Main Street, New London. C
