Josephine Mae "Jo" Pasadyn, 94, of Wellington, died Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at Medina Meadows Rehab and Nursing Center. She was born to the late Anthony and Nancy (nee Gamberi) Alferio on June 15, 1920 in Kipton. Jo graduated with the Kipton High School class of 1939. She worked at Oberlin College in the bake shop for many years. An active member of Saint Patrick Catholic Church in Wellington, Jo belonged to Saint Patrick's Women's Guild. She was also a member of the Wellington Eagles Arie#2051 Auxiliary. Jo had many interests in her life. She enjoyed cooking and baking for her family, caring for grandchildren and great grandchildren, and attending their school and sporting events. Jo also enjoyed playing Bingo and following the Indians and Cavs, even going on one of the Indian's Caribbean cruises. Survivors include her children, Albert (Sandi) Pasadyn, of Wellington, Nancy (John) Finley, of Medina, and Tom (Terri) Pasadyn, of Copley; 7 grandchildren, Michelle, Laura, Aaron, Alecia, Damon, Sarah and T.J.; 17 great grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Josephine was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Albert J. Pasadyn; brothers, Tony, Joe, Nuncy, Charlie and sister, Jenny Kohut. The family would like to thank the staff and residents at Medina Meadows Nursing Center for their compassionate and loving care of "Grandma Jo", as they affectionately called her. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 6 from 5-8 p.m. at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 S. Main Street, Wellington. Visitation will also be held on Friday from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Saint Patrick Catholic Church, 512 N. Main St., Wellington, with Father James Reymann officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
