Obituary

Joshua A. Weisenberger, 42, of Collins, Ohio, on October 17, 2021, died from an unexpected illness.  He was born on December 16, 1978, in Oberlin, Ohio to Timothy and Peggy (Youngeberg) and was a 1997 Western Reserve graduate.

A wonderful father, son, and brother.  Josh was a driven, strong willed, incredibly hard worker, with a passion for helping others.  Most recently working for Mark Haynes Construction as a heavy equipment operator.  As a former athlete, Josh actively carried on a family tradition of faithful support with his own children, of Western Reserve athletics, following everything from track and field, basketball, football, and volleyball, to being a "dance dad".

Josh also served his country proudly as part of the United States/Ohio Army National Guard where he earned several awards and medals and was active in Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom.

He was a member of the Vermilion Amvets and Wakeman Eagles and an avid Ohio State Buckeyes fan.

Survivors include Josh's wife, Holly (Sexton) Weisenberger; parents, Timothy (Peggy) Weisenberger; children, Brendan, Joshua "J.J." and Liberty Weisenberger; sisters, Sara (Scott) Eustace and Jess Weisenberger; best friends, Charles Wheeler and Dirk Whitt, his dog, "Max"; numerous nieces and nephews, and the Derussey Road crew.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Herman Youngeberg and A.J. Weisenberger.
