Norwalk, Ohio - Joyce B. Bragdon, 88, of Norwalk, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, October 3, 2017 in Norwalk Memorial Home. She was born October 8, 1928 in York, Maine, to the late Forrest E. and Gladys V. (Moulton) Blaisdell, and came to this area in 1971 from Bristol, Connecticut. Joyce was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, the Presbyterian Women's Association, and the Evening Circle. She was a former nurse's aide at Fisher Titus Medical Center. She was a volunteer at Fisher Titus, the Carriage House, and for Meals on Wheels. Joyce enjoyed needlework, crocheting, sewing, cooking, baking, and especially enjoyed spending time with her family. She is survived by her children, Jane B. (Michael) Wilde of Milan, Ohio, Carter T. (Patricia) Bragdon, Jr. of Berlin Heights, Ohio, Ann B. Sellers of Norwalk, Ohio, and Ellen B. Ostheimer of Milan, Ohio, 9 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren. Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Carter T. Bragdon, Sr. in 1985, and by her brother, Merle F. Blaisdell. Friends may call on Saturday, October 7, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of memorial services at 11:00 a.m. in the First Presbyterian Church, 21 Firelands Blvd., Norwalk, Ohio. Rev. Clair Brewer will officiate. Inurnment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church.
