Joyce Ann Broeckel, 83, of North Ridgeville, died Tuesday, July 11, 2023, surrounded by her family at home. Born on September 6, 1939 in Cleveland, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Anna (nee Merhar) Sternisa. Joyce grew up in the Cleveland area and graduated from Collinwood High School. In 2008 Joyce moved to Wellington before relocating to North Ridgeville.

Joyce worked alongside her husband at his business, G & M Pallet. Faith was an integral part of her life and she was an active member of her church. She attended Calvary Assembly of God, in Willoughby Hills, where she was the head of the welcoming center and served on the decor ministry as well as the women's ministry. She most recently attended Harvest Ridge Church with her family. Joyce also enjoyed roller skating and ice skating, taking the grandkids shopping, and going to have her hair and nails done. She was an exceptional cook and made lots of good food for lots of family gatherings. Most of all Joyce loved being a grandmother and cherished the memories she made with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include her loving husband of 41 years, Michael; sons, Gary (Allison) Petric, of Euclid, Mark (Lisa) Petric, of Wellington, and Jeffrey (Michelle) Petric, of Greenville, SC; grandchildren, Heidi (Andrew) Archer, Madilynn Petric, Alexander Petric, Holly (Lucas) Archer, Jaclyn (Andrew) Powers, Gregory Petric, Daniel Petric, Emanuel (Claire) Class, Emilia Class, and Miguel (Kim) Class; great-grandchildren, Ayla, Titus, Ivan, Luvia, Laney, Eve, Zia, Iris, and one on the way. In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Sue Petric.

Friends and family will be received on Friday July 14, from 11 a.m. until the time of services beginning at 1 p.m. at Harvest Ridge Church, 35600 Lorain Rd, North Ridgeville, with a reception to follow.
