Joyce D. Hardman, 80, of Elyria, died Friday, March 30, 2012 at the residence of her daughter in New London. Born in Swindon, Wiltshire, England on September 28, 1931 to the late Valentine William and Florence Edith (nee Brown) King, Joyce lived in many places around the world before moving to America in 1960. In 1965, she settled in Elyria.
Joyce loved Flea Markets and talking to people.
She is survived by her loving children, Robert L. Hardman, of Elyria, and Pauline (Stephen) Docy, of New London; a granddaughter, Autumn Gueth, of Ashland; three grandsons, Robert M. Hardman and Nicholas Hardman, both of Elyria, and Stephen Docy, of Oregon; six great grandchildren, Brooklyn, Autumn, Nicholas and Memphis Hardman, Alexander Gueth and Stephen Docy. Joyce is also survived by two sisters and two brothers. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Hardman; three brothers and a sister.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 2, 2012 at Eastman Funeral Home, 200 W. Main St., New London from 6-8 p.m.
