Judith A. "Judy" Klotz (Peirce) of Norwalk, Ohio, died on May 16, 2021 at Fisher Titus Medical Center in Norwalk after complications resulting from her courageous (second) battle with cancer. She was born on October 22, 1947 in Oberlin, Ohio to the late Alfred Durand and Barbara Jean (Hast) Peirce. Judy graduated from Danbury High School and attended Tiffin University.
She had worked for the Internal Revenue Service, Crow Lumber, and was an insurance agent for over 25 years. Judy enjoyed quilting, traveling and was a talented tole painter. The Smithsonian Institution houses two of her creations. She was also a judge for the AACA (Antique Auto Club of America). A member of the Norwalk Episcopal Church, Judy often assisted with the church bulletins and community meals. She especially loved spending time cooking with her grandson Zachary.
Survivors include her loving husband of 53 years, Richard "Rick" Klotz; son, Eric (Amy) Klotz of Nashville, TN and grandson, Zachary Klotz. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, LeRoy Sauvey and sister, Jan.
In keeping with Judy's wishes she will be cremated with a graveside inurnment being planned for a later date in Riverside Cemetery, Berlin Heights.
