Julia Ann Snyder King, 67, of Ashland, died Thursday, January 27, 2011 at Grant Hospital in Columbus after a sudden illness. She was born on March 29, 1943 in New London, daughter of the late Andrew and Marion (Rumsey) Snyder. Julia enjoyed playing her violin and she was an accomplished artist. She is survived by her brother, Ralph A. Snyder and his wife, Margie A. (Schaeg) Snyder of Butler, Pennsylvania. She is also survived by two nieces, Tammie R. Rabbitt and her husband, Timothy Rabbit, Andrea L. Lucas and her husband, John Lucas; two great nephews, Andrew Lucas and Kellen Rabbitt; and a great niece, Maggie Lucas. Julia was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Sharon J. Snyder. Friends and family will be received Friday, January 28, 2011 from 7-9 p.m. at Eastman Funeral Home, 200 West Main Street, New London where a funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Grove Street Cemetery in New London.
