Obituary

Julie Christine Wagner, age 52, of Elyria died on Sunday, April 13, 2025, surrounded by her loving family at her home. Born March 23, 1973 in Oberlin, she was the daughter of James Wacker and Donna (Wrench) Hall. Julie graduated from Wellington High School and Lorain County JVS in 1991. She married the love of her life, Louis, and they spent thirty wonderful years together.

Passionate about the outdoors, Julie loved to camp in the trailer, travel, adventure, and hike with Louis. An eclectic and joyful spirit, she also enjoyed sewing, reading, and crafting. Through all her interests she met many people and meant so much to all that had the opportunity to know and love her. Kindness was essential to her being, and family says she was the kindest person they knew. Beyond that, she longed for others to be kind as well. In her own words reflecting on life, Julie said, "in our short lives we deserve to be happy. Live life to the fullest and be kind always."

Family was everything to Julie. Her grandsons were the light of her life and brought her so much joy. She cherished playing with them and absolutely loved every moment she was able to spend with them.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her loving children, Cassandra (Blake) Marlin of Cheyenne, Wyoming, and Christopher Wagner of Elyria; grandsons, Walker and Thomas; brother, James (Marlene) Wacker, sister, Jeanna (Leslie) Hamilton; nieces and nephews, Mia, Emma, James, Whitney, and Parker; step-mother, Linda Kominar; mother-in-law, Goldie Wagner, her brothers and sisters-in-law; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
