Obituary

Julius T. Wargo, 92, of Fitchville, died Thursday, July 18, 2013 at the Ohio Veterans Home in Sandusky. He was born on March 12, 1921, in Lorain, son of the late Julius and Susanna (Kalapos) Wargo. Julius lived in Grafton until moving to Fitchville in 1949. He served in the Merchant Marines during WWII. Julius was a sales rep for Electrox Vacuum and also worked construction and farmed all of his life. Julius was a member of the Fitchville Grange, Fitchville American Legion, Farm Bureau and New London Alliance Church. Julius loved to travel, play cards and dance. Survived by his wife of 62 years, Virginia (Caroniti); daughters, Bonnie Widman of Fremont, Betty J. Camp of Greenwich, Barbara (Steve) Bowerize of Northwood and Marcia (Kevin) Ledet of Greenwich; 13 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; 11 great-great grandchildren and sister-in-laws, Janet Wargo and Cathy Wargo. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter, Margaret "Peggy" Merrill; 4 brothers and 4 sisters. Visitation Sunday from 2-6 pm at Eastman Funeral Home, 200 W. Main St., New London where a service will be held Monday at 11 am with Pastor Doug Lang officiating. Burial will follow in Fitchville Cemetery.
