June May, 85, lifelong Greenwich resident, passed away on Monday, January 21, 2019 at Fisher-Titus Medical Center in Norwalk. She was born March 31, 1933 in Norwalk, to the late Clarence and Chloe (nee Pond) Wolfe. June graduated from Greenwich High School where she was a cheerleader. June worked at the Greenwich Bank, New London Nursing Home and later Gaymont Nursing Home in Norwalk. She attended the Greenwich United Methodist Church and The Ripley Church. She enjoyed volunteering at the church. June and her family enjoyed many years of spending their weekends camping together. June is survived by her children, Rodney (Debra) May of Greenwich, Lisa (Steve) Ray of North Fairfield and Michele (Mike) Rogers of Fairfax, Virginia; grandchildren, Shannon, Jennifer, Kristin, James, Lauren and Wayne; great-grandchildren, Cory, Jamie, Sierra, Anthony, Savannah and Levi; 2 great-great-grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Vernon May and siblings, Erma Coy, Evelyn Wacker, Helen Miller, Ruth Witt, Howard Wolfe, Margery Bellamy and Almeta Thomas. Visitation Thursday, January 24, 2019 from 11 am until the 1 pm service at Eastman Funeral Home in Greenwich with Pastor Bob Hudberg officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwich Greenlawn Cemetery.
