Katharine A. Chandler, 82, of Norwalk, died Saturday, August 31, 2024, at her residence.  She was born December 3, 1941, in Detroit, MI to the late Hilda K. (Daniels) and Ernest Palmer III.  Mrs. Chandler was a graduate of North Ridgeville High School, Class of 1959, then moved to Olena, OH in 1960.  In 1964 she moved to Fitchville and worked at the family-owned Beehive Restaurant which closed in 1988 after which she loved caring for her grandchildren and neighborhood kids.  Katharine enjoyed playing cards, watching TV, getting her hair done and eating spaghetti.  She loved, loved, loved watching the Cleveland Indians and Guardians.  She never wanted to miss watching a game. She attended the Chapel in Norwalk when she was able.

Mrs. Chandler is survived by her children, Dawn Chandler of Norwalk, Chuck Chandler of Dearfield Beach, FL and Heide (Jason) Fields of Norwalk; 3 grandchildren, Morgan (Kevin) Cho, Jesse and Ashtyn Fields; 2 brothers, Ernie Palmer of Greenwich, Bill Palmer of Sandusky and sister-in-law, Fran Palmer of New London.  Along with many nieces and nephews she loved dearly.  She was preceded in death by her Husband, Carl R. Chandler in 2016, siblings Dawn and Fred Palmer.
