Kathleen M. Hanko, 69, of Norwalk, Ohio, passed away on February 18, 2021 at Twilight Gardens Nursing Home.  She was born on February 14, 1952 in Michigan to the now deceased Melvin and Wilma (Hrantz) Yeo and graduated from Elyria Catholic High School in 1970.

Kathleen loved her family, and her grandchildren were her life.  She was generous, selfless, spunky, loving, caring, and compassionate. Kathleen was a hard worker.  She had several different factories jobs but spent over 20 years at Westlake Tool & Die.

Survivors include her daughter, Ann (Charles) Lau of Norwalk; grandchildren, Brandon Hanko of Wakeman and Brooke Lau of Norwalk; brother, Kevin Yeo of Litchfield, OH and Faith DiPonio of Livonia, MI.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Sando Yeo and nephew, Scott Yeo.

A memorial visitation will be held at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 W. Main St., Norwalk, Ohio on Saturday, March 6, 2021 from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m.  Guests to the funeral home are reminded to bring and wear a mask and to be prepared for the possibility of having to wait outside if current reduced capacity limits are exceeded until room becomes available.  Social distancing and mass gathering guidelines will be observed.  Online expressions of sympathy and memories may be made by visiting: www.walkereastmanheydingerfh.com .
