Kenneth A. Mohrman, age 76, of Wellington died Friday, May 9, 2008 at Allen Medical Center in Oberlin following a short illness. He was born May 1, 1932 in Lorain to the late Forrest and Hilda (Ruminsky) Mohrman.
Kenneth graduated from Wellington High School in 1950. After attending Valpariso University from 1950 until 1952, Kenneth joined the Navy and served until 1956. He owned and operated T.A.P.E., Inc. for 24 years. Kenneth was a member of the Bethany Lutheran Church in Wellington and the Elyria Chapter of the Experimental Aircraft Association. Kenneth was a Pilot and he enjoyed flying the plane he built, the Dyke Delta. He also constructed and flew large scale model airplanes and loved fishing and hunting.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Eloise; four children, Forrest (Barbara) Mohrman of Wellington, Janet Mohrman of Vermilion, Julie (Paul) Smith and Connie (Norman) Bradley, both of Wellington; 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Kenneth is also survived by his sister Marlene (Vernon) Black of Wellington.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Thursday, May 15th at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 S. Main St., Wellington where a memorial service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Dale Huelsman officiating and Vernon Black assisting. A private burial will take place at a later date.
