Kenneth Ratliff, 84, of New London, OH, died on Tuesday, August 8, 2023, at his daughter Dawn's home in Greenwich.  He was born on July 18, 1939, in Honaker, KY, the son of the late Bernard and Tworea (nee Meade) Ratliff.

Kenny grew up in New London and proudly served his country in the US Army.  On December 23, 1972, he married his loving wife Eva (nee Williams) and together they shared nearly 41 years of marriage until her passing in 2013.

He was often referred to as "New London's Notary", and anyone in need of a notary went straight to him.  He retired from Ford in Lorain, and loved to work on cars, especially old cars.  He was a member of the American Legion and the Eagles in New London and a lifetime member of the VFW.  When Kenny wasn't working on cars, he could be found at the bowling alley.  He enjoyed music and loved to sing and play the guitar.  Kenny recorded many favorite songs, and his family will forever cherish that special music.

Kenny is survived by his daughter, Dawn (Ratliff) Parr from New London; a stepdaughter, Loree (Leroy) (nee Hunter) Lugo of Middletown, OH; 18 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; sister, Bernadette (Kenny) Fannin of New London. Kenny was preceded in death by his wife, Eva; son, Kenny B Ratliff; stepdaughters, Robin (nee Hunter) Bailey, and Patty (nee Hunter) Sharp; sister, Myrtie Anderson and a sister in infancy, Diana Ratliff.

Family and friends will be received on Sunday, August 13, 2023, from 2-5 p.m. at the Eastman Funeral Home, 200 West Main Street, New London where his funeral service will be held on Monday, August 14 at 11 a.m.  Burial will follow at Grove Street Cemetery.  Memorials may be directed to Southern Care Hospice, 9501 US Hwy 250 N, Milan, OH 44846.  Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.eastmanfuneralhome.com
