Kenneth J. Sharp, 88, of Wellington, died Saturday, August 22, 2020, at home surrounded by his family. Born on July 25, 1932 in Oberlin, he was the son of the late BJ and Stella (nee Krieg) Sharp. Kenneth was a 1952 graduate of Camden High School. After high school Kenneth joined the United States Army.

Kenneth worked for American Airlines as a ground mechanic, and then for the Kipton Elevator. After his retirement he worked for the Elyria Country Club and plowed snow for Firelands High School. Kenneth served on the Camden Twp Fire Department for many years. He held a private pilots license and enjoyed flying in his piper cub. Kenneth also enjoyed spending time on his mower, attending and competing in tractor pulls, and attending his grandchildren's sporting events.

Survivors include his loving wife of 66 years, Eloise (nee Davidson); daughters Sandy (Fred) Pitts, of Wellington, and Cindy (Walter) Piwinski, of Oberlin; grandchildren Amy, Matthew, Adam, and Lisa; and great grandchildren Parker, Roston, Morgan, Lucas, Jud, Jax, and Jep. Kenneth was preceded in death by his brothers Cleon and Eldon.

A private graveside service will be held at Brighton Township Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Kenneth's memory may be directed to the Camden Township Fire Department, PO Box 124 Kipton, OH 44049 or to the Brighton United Methodist Church, 51011 State Route 18 Wellington, OH 44090.
