Obituary

Kenneth Turner Sr., 65, of Wellington died Sunday, July 14, 2013, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on January 6, 1948 in Chaffee Missouri to the late Herschel "Pete" and Geraldine (nee Chapman) Turner and moved to the Wellington area in the mid 50's. Kenneth graduated from Wellington High School and went on to proudly serve in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Kenneth worked as a carpenter and he truly enjoyed working with wood. He was a member of the Wellington VFW Post 6941 and Wellington Eagles 2051. Kenneth also enjoyed hunting for morel mushrooms. Kenneth is survived by his wife of 33 years Vicki (nee Magers), children Tabetha Lynne Patton of Elyria, Kenneth Ray Turner Jr. of Brighton, and Ashley Jane Turner of Ottawa, grandchildren Corey, Tiara, Kenny III, Marissa, and Tiffany, and a sister Irma (Robert) Wertz of Mt. Gilead. He was preceded in death by his siblings Shirley Warrens, Robert and Ronald Turner. Friends and family will be received on Wednesday, July 17 from 4-8 p.m. at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 South Main Street, Wellington, where services will be held on Thursday beginning at 12 p.m. with Rev.
