Obituary

Kevin L. Hartley, 48, of Clarksfield, died Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at Fisher-Titus Medical Center, Norwalk. Born in Sandusky on February 13, 1962. He lived in Clarksfield all of his life and was a 1980 graduate from Western Reserve High School. He worked as a custodian at the Pleasant Street Elementary School in Norwalk. Kevin was a former conductor of the New London Eagles and enjoyed helping organize car shows. He also enjoyed nascar, music, especially the guitar, being in the woods, and camping. He was especially passionate utilizing his artistic abilities in making mini cars, Halloween costumes, and drawings. Kevin leaves behind his beloved daughter, Rachel Hartley of New London; grandson Keaton Williams; fianc'e, Terri Valentin of Florida; mother, Eileen Gray of Clarksfield; father, Orlo Hartley of New London, and grandfather, William Orlo Hartley of Westerville, OH. He is also survived by his brothers, Scott Hartley of Collins, Lynn (Renee) Hartley of New London and Darren (Julie) Hartley of New London and step-sisters, Cassie (Gary) Hurst of Collins and Kim (Chris) Moore of New London. He was preceded in death by his step father, Austin Gray. A visitation for family and friends will be held Saturday, August 7th from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. at Eastman Funeral Home, 200 West Main Street, New London where a funeral service will be held Sunday at 2:00 p.m. with pastor Charles Mead officiating. Burial will follow at Clarksfield Methodist Cemetery. The family requests that donations in memory of Kevin be given to Juvenile diabetes Research Foundation of Northeast Ohio Chapter, 6100 Rockside Woods Blvd, Suite 445, Independence, OH 44131.
