Kimberly A. 'Kim' Kwiatkowski, 53, of New London, died Monday, December 14, 2009 at Cleveland Clinic after a lengthy illness. She was born on March 25, 1956 in Norwalk and lived in the Olena, Norwalk, and New London areas all of her life. She worked at the former C.E. Ward Company and Thomas Creative Apparel both of New London. Kim enjoyed being with her family and she especially loved spending time with her grandchildren, Isabella, Chloe, Abigail and Selena. Survivors include her husband of 25 years, Steve; daughter and son-in-law, Nichole and James D. Fernekees of New London; sons, Travis Arnett of Collins and Steven Kwiatkowski of Greenwich and 4 grandchildren. In addition, Kim is survived by 2 siblings, Pam (John) Churella of New London and Raymond Hurst of Columbus. She was preceded in death by her father, Frank Potts and her mother, Carol Jean (nee Peterson) Hurst. A visitation for family and friends will be held Sunday, December 20 from 2-4 p.m. at Eastman Funeral Home, 200 W. Main St., New London.
