Larry D. Cooper, 78, of New London, died Monday, August 12, 2024, at the Laurels of New London.  He was born July 1, 1946, in Akron to the late Dorothy (Burkett) and Bernard Cooper.  Larry was a diesel mechanic for Kenmore Construction in Akron, Mack Trucking and later worked at D & R.  He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying fishing and hunting but when inside he could be found scratching lottery tickets or playing cards, especially euchre.

Larry is survived by his significant other, Pam Roush of New London; daughter, Laura (Tim) Oppihle of Massillon; grandchildren, Devon McCleary Cooper and Molly Oppihle, and great grandson, Dae'vion Oppihle.  He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Penny Cooper.
