Obituary

Larry E. Senter, Sr., age 70, of Greenwich, died Wednesday, May 27, 2009 at his home after a lengthy illness. He was born in Coshocton to the late Blake and Evelyn (Smart) Senter. Larry lived in Willard until the mid 70's when he moved to Greenwich. He graduated in 1958 from Willard High School, and later served in the United States Army in the early 1960's. He worked as a machine operator for Pioneer Rubber in Willard for 35 years. Larry was a member of the Eagles and attended Greenwich United Methodist church. He loved his family and especially his grandchildren. Larry also liked camping, hunting, fishing and going out for a drive. He played for the Pioneer basketball team when he was younger and has always had a passion for sports. Survivors include his wife, Mary of 42 years; children, April (John) Gies of Plymouth, Connie Senter of Greenwich, and Larry Senter, Jr. of Wooster; four grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Larry was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Angel Marie Senter; 4 sisters, Dauntless Senter, Leona Wolf, Jean Holden, and Marilyn Vantu; 4 brothers, James Austin Senter, William Rodgers Senter, John Lewis Senter and Blake Senter, Jr. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8, Sunday, May 31st at Eastman Funeral Home, 49 W. Main St., Greenwich where a funeral service will take place on Monday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Georgette Gaston officiating. Burial at Greenwood Cemetery, Willard.
