Laura (nee LeDonne) Buccigross, 87, of Wellington and formerly of Akron died Monday, September 29, 2014 at the Elms nursing home. She was born on February 5, 1927 in Provincia L'Aquila, Italy to the late Francesco and Franceca (nee Ciotala) LaDonne . Laura was a WWII bride and in 1949 was the first person in ohio to undergo open heart bypass surgery. Laura was devoted to her family and was always teaching the Italian language to all members of her family. Laura is survived by her twin children, Michael (Denise) Buccigross of Green and Margaret "Theresa" Aker of Wellington; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren; sister, Theresa Ciotola of White Plains NY. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carmen Anthony Buccigross; daughter, Frances Rudibaugh; four brothers and one sister; and her son-in-law, David Aker. A graveside service will take place at 10 a.m. on Friday, October 17, 2014 at Holy Cross Cemetery, 100 East Waterloo Road, Akron, 44319.
