Lawrence Dale Myers, 84, of Sullivan, died Sunday, December 17, 2023 at the Laurels of New London. Born on February 28, 1939 in Charleston, WV, he was the son of the late Carl Marlin and Pearl (nee Parsons) Myers. Lawrence grew up in West Virginia before moving to Ohio in the late 50's

Lawrence worked for General Motors for many years. In between working for GM and for many years after retiring, he operated his own appliance repair business. Lawrence was a long time member of the Wellington Free Will Baptist Church. He absolutely loved being outdoors, tinkering on his lawn or working on a car, or anything mechanical. Most of all he cherished his family and the time spent with them.

Survivors include his children, Tammy (Eddie) Matthews, of Richmond, KY, and Ronnie Myers, of Sullivan; granddaughter Leisa Duff; great-grandchildren, Kamryn and Aren; and siblings, Fred Myers, Rocky Myers, Joyce Lowe, and Gwen Wolfe. Lawrence was preceded in death by his loving wife of 58 years, Mary Myers; grandson Nicholas Matthews; daughter-in-law, Janet Myers; and siblings, Elbert, Danny, and Ray Myers.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 21 beginning at 3 p.m. at the Wellington Free Will Baptist Church, 205 Woodland St, Wellington.
