Obituary

Lawrence D. Taylor, 91, died Saturday at Hospice of Medina County. He was born in Penfield Twp. to the late, Alonzo and Bertha (Gott) Taylor, where he was a life long resident. Lawrence served in the Army 593rd during WWII in the South Pacific. He was a former member of the American Legion Lawrence was employed for 20 years at Custom Repair-Ridge Tool Co. He was a member of the Litchfield United Church of Christ. Lawrence was also a member of the F&AM Litchfield Lodge #381 and the Royal Arch Mason's. Lawrence is survived by sons, Lonnie of Walters, Oklahoma, Larry of Van Wert and Lynn of Penfield; and 6 grandchildren. He was preceded by his wife Treva (nee Ray) in 2007 and a brother, Warren Taylor. Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 pm Tuesday at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 S. Main St., Wellington, where funeral services will be held 1 pm Wednesday, June 13, 2012. Pastor Will Smith will officiate and burial will follow in the Penfield Cemetery with military rites.
