Lawrence E. "Larry" Thompson, 61, a lifetime resident of the Norwalk, Ohio area, died on May 26, 2025, at Fisher-Titus Medical Center.  He was born on August 19, 1963, to the late Gilbert and Patricia (Baker) Thompson and graduated from Norwalk High School in 1982 where he played football.

Larry was a bus driver for the Huron County C.A.C., Huron County Transit, and Coach USA.  He also owned and operated Mr. T's Taxi.

A die hard Dallas Cowboys and Michigan Wolverines fan, Larry loved all sports but football was his favorite.

He is survived by his spouse, Heather (Case) Thompson; stepsons, Matthew and Luke Wireman both of Norwalk; nieces, Christine (Michael) Cunningham, Penny Ritchie, Dawn Tackett, and Farrah Rogers; nephews, Cletus Ritchie, Scott Ritchie, Cory Sprague, Garland Cunningham, Garrett Cunningham, and Josh Thompson; many great nieces and great nephews, lifetime best friend, Joe Statzer, and longtime companion, Melissa Newsome.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Rosanna (Mike) Wetzel, Penelope (Dennis) Ritchie, and Kathy Thompson.

A private celebration of Larry's life is being planned for a later date.  Memorial contributions may be directed to Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 W.
