November 19, 1974 – August 17, 2024
Lee Jack White, 49, of West Salem, died unexpectedly at home. Born on November 19, 1974 in London, Ontario, Canada, he was the son of the late Martin and Kathleen (nee Thomas) White. Lee grew up in Spencer and was a 1992 graduate of Black River High School. A Wellington resident for many years, Lee recently moved to West Salem.
Lee worked as a mechanic for the majority of his career. He was a proud member of the Oneida Nation of the Thames. Lee enjoyed fishing, grilling out, and following NASCAR racing. He had been an active member of the Wellington First United Methodist Church, participating in numerous mission trips with the youth group with his daughters. Lee loved softball and coached his daughters over the years, serving as the association vice president for a time.
Survivors include his daughters, Kelsie (Trey Brown) White, of Elyria, Samantha White, Jasmine (Justin) Quarm, and Abigail White, all of Medina; his former wife, Rachel Braden; granddaughter, Linnea; brothers, Dwayne (Michelle) White, Marty White, Lewis White, Fred White and Jerome White; and nephews, Jordan and Austin White. Lee was preceded in death by his brother Greg and grandparents, Lee and Olivia Thomas.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 23 at 3 p.m. at Findley State Park Picnic Point. On Saturday, August 24 a Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m. at the Wellington American Legion, 518 S. Main Street.
