Leona M. Fishbaugh, 89, of Greenwich, died Sunday, July 24, 2011 at the Elm's Nursing Home in Wellington. Born on December 26, 1921, in Ruggles Township, to the late Carl and Caroline (Anderson) Clawson. She graduated from Nova High School in 1939. In 1942, Leona married Maurice Fishbaugh and they moved to Greenwich in 1949. She was an active member of the Greenwich United Methodist Church. Leona was a member of the Ladies Historical Society. She cooked meals for the Greenwich Rotary for many years. Leona worked for Krogers in Greenwich and Lincoln Park, Michigan until 1942. She worked for Curfmans Grocery Store from 1964 until 1977. Leona then worked at South Central School and retired in 1986. She loved to play cards and was a member of several card clubs. Leona is survived by her three sons, Thom Fishbaugh of Greenwich, Jim and Sherry Fishbaugh of Norwalk and Gerald and Cindy Fishbaugh of Wellington; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her three sisters, Lois Beach of New London, Joan and Bill Schuller of Shiloh and Frances and Jr. Simonson of Huntington, along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice; brother, Carl 'Bud' Clawson; sisters, Gertrude Clawson and Edith Sutherland; stepfather, Fred Beach; brother-in-law, Donald Sutherland and sister-in-law, Alice Clawson. A visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 27 at Eastman Funeral Home, 49 West Main Street, Greenwich and a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday at Greenwich United Methodist Church, 18 East Main Street, Greenwich with Pastor Larry Brown officiating. A graveside committal service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, July 30 at Greenwich Greenlawn Cemetery.
