Leroy "Frank" Franklin Jr, 60, of Greenwich, died Saturday, January 2, 2021, at St. Vincent's hospital in Toledo. Born on March 3, 1960 in Akron, to the late Leroy and Erie (nee Boware) Franklin Sr., Frank grew up and spent most of his life in Copley.
Frank proudly served in the United States Coast Guard and was a life member of the American Legion. He worked in construction and retired from Local 860 Union in Cleveland. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, fishing and hunting, and taking trips to the beach. Frank also enjoyed riding on his Harley motorcycle and enjoying a cigar with close friends.
Frank is survived by his loving wife, Julianne (nee Chill) who he married on April 8, 2018; his children David Lee (Janelle) Franklin, of Copley, Monica Lynn Franklin, of Youngstown; step children Ashley Kline-Tozzi, and Andrew (Dana) Kline, both of Dublin, and Amy (Brandon) Kline-Barker; grandchildren Layla, Grant, Taylor, Lillian, and Preslee; siblings Frisco Franklin, of CA, Frankie (Joanne) Franklin, of FL, and Roy (Rhonda) Franklin, of Chicago; and Nephew Tom (Niveen) Schira, and their children Mousa and Jacob. Frank was preceded in death by his sisters Emily Singleton and Dorothy Reed.
