Lester Leroy Reynolds, 94, of North Ridgeville and formerly of Wellington, passed away on Monday, August 13, 2018 at O'Neill Healthcare of North Ridgeville. Born on July 27, 1924, he was the son of the late Della (nee Colley) and Jay Reynolds Sr. Lester had proudly served in the U.S. Army with the 274th Field Artillery and was a WWII Veteran. He later went on to work for Larson Foundry in Grafton where he retired in 1987. Lester was very active in the Wellington Community where he was a member of VFW Post 6941, Eagles Aerie 2051, AMVETS Post 32, DAV, American Legion and Wellington Church of Nazarene. He was also involved with Lorain County Office on Aging through their RSVP program where he delivered Meals on Wheels, and was a past Boy Scout Leader in Grafton. In his spare time he enjoyed bowling, hunting and fishing, gardening and going to Army Reunions. He is survived by his children, Larry (Barbara) Reynolds, Linda (Ron) Rowland Miller, Diana (Ralph) Troglin, Suzanne (Harry) Betts, Dale Reynolds (Barb Kidney) and Cheryl (Al) Petche; sister, Betty Fagan of Canton; several grandchildren, step-grandchildren, great grandchildren and great- great grandchildren; sisters in law, Eunice Reynolds of Sullivan, and Jean Reynolds of AL. Lester was preceded in death by his loving wife of 70 years, Darlene (nee Wilkins) Reynolds; his parents; brothers, Richard, Jay Jr. and Donald Reynolds and sister, Ada Feist. Family and friends will be received on Monday, August 20, 2018 from 5-9 pm and again on Tuesday from 10-11 am at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 S. Main Street, Wellington, where services will be held at 11am with James Hill officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery with military honors .
