Leya Fries, 49, residing in Norwalk, passed away unexpectedly, Tuesday, September 27, 2022, at her home.

Leya was born on September 10, 1973, in Sandusky, OH, to Nancy (Livingston) Perruchon and Ned Perruchon. She attended Danbury High and Ehove School and graduated in 1992. Leya was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Norwalk. She worked various jobs as a nanny and at Sheris Coffee House. Leya was a devoted wife, mother, and "grammy".   She enjoyed taking care of others, playing with her grandchildren, working on projects with her husband, and supporting her two children. She loved gardening, drinking coffee, reading, walking, biking, and staying active.

Leya is survived by her loving husband, Ted Fries, who she married on October 17, 1998; 2 children, Airrin (Jon) Carrabino of Michigan and Spencer Fries of Norwalk; grandchildren, Charley, Archer, and third coming in December; mother, Nancy Perruchon of Marblehead; 2 siblings, Vicki (Jim) Stayancho of Marblehead, and Terrie (Brian Bischoff) Petroff of Marblehead; mother-in-law and father-in-law, John and Karen Fries of Norwalk; siblings-in-law, Tim Fries of Milan, Tammy Stang of Norwalk, Betsy (Marc) Ruggles of Norwalk, Bob (Kristine) Fries of Norwalk, and Brian (Ashley) Fries of Monroeville. Along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Leya was preceded in death by her father, Ned Perruchon, and her brother, Geno Leach.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, October 2, 2022, from 2 pm to 5 pm at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 W. Main Street, Norwalk, OH 44857. Funeral services will be Monday, October 3, 2022, at 10:30 am at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 243 Benedict Avenue, Norwalk, OH 44857. The burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Monroeville.
