Lila Rose (Kelley) Garner, age 81, of Wakeman, died Tuesday, December 25, 2007 at Fisher-Titus Medical Center in Norwalk.
Mrs. Garner was born June 2, 1926 in Clarksfield, Ohio, daughter of the late, Linn & Lillian (Perkins) Kelley. She was a life long resident of the Clarksfield area and graduated in 1944 from New London High School.
Lila was a life long devoted member of the Clarksfield United Methodist Church and a 50 year member of the Eastern Star. She was also a member of the Grange. She enjoyed gardening, spending time with her family, and especially taking the grandchildren places.
She is survived by daughters, Coleen (Paul) Meister of Marion, Ohio and Carolyn (Mark) Winkler of Norwalk; a son, Collin (Carol) Garner of Norwalk; 6 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Ray Garner in 1992, whom she married April 21, 1946; 3 great grandchildren; and a brother, Lawrence Kelley.
Friends may call 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Thursday, December 27, 2007 at the Eastman Funeral Home, 200 W. Main St., New London, with Eastern Star services at 7:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 28, 2007 at the funeral home with Rev. Adrian Doll officiating. Burial will follow in the Clarksfield Methodist Cemetery.
