Obituary

Lillian I. Baker, age 68, of New London died Sunday, January 20, 2008 at her home. She was born January 13, 1940 in New London, daughter of the late Floyd D. and Burnittia (Schafer) Murr. She had been a lifelong resident of New London. Mrs. Baker had worked at the former New London Hospital and at the Ohio Veterans Home in Sandusky where she retired in 1986. She loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mrs. Baker also loved to garden and fish. She is survived by 2 sons, Dale Myers and Brian & Sandy Myers all of New London; a daughter, Burnittia (Bonnie) Kegley of New London; 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; her sister, Pauline & David Nelson of New London; 2 brothers, Joe Murr of Bucyrus and Pete & Darrean Murr of Fitchville. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Dale E. Myers in 1976, her son, Mark Myers, her second husband, Tom Baker, a brother, Frank Murr and 2 sisters, Emma Fife and Terry Murr. Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 22, 2008 at the Eastman Funeral Home, 200 West Main St., New London with Pastor Doug Lang officiating. Burial will follow at Grove Street Cemetery, New London. Memorials if desired may be given to Stein Hospice, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, Ohio 44870.
