Lillie Maxine Dean, 71, of New London, died Saturday, January 19, 2013 at Twilight Gardens in Norwalk. On September 26, 1941 Lillie was born in Shawnee to the late Forest and Lillian Bishop. She graduated from Shawnee High School and lived in Columbus for over 20 years. Lillie worked in the insurance industry as both a secretary and a sales rep. She also shipped Marzetti's products as a dispatcher. Lillie was a member of the Ohio Eastern Star and her favorite pastime was reading. She believed in angels and her collection included over 150 of them. In July of 2006, Lillie married her childhood sweetheart 52 years later, David Dean "Jack", who survives her. She is also survived by a daughter, Tracie Anne, of Knoxville, TN; two grandchildren, Joshua and Alex, both of Columbus and sisters, Yvonne, Forest-Rose and Estella. Friends and family will be received on Tuesday, January 22 from 12-2 p.m. and 5-7 p.m. at Eastman Funeral Home, 200 W. Main St., New London. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the New London Alliance Church, 4625 State Route 162 West, New London with Pastor Doug Lang officiating.
