Linda (Durning) Lachowyn, 56, passed on November 18th from brain cancer. Linda was a 1976 graduate of Western Reserve High School. She lived in Columbus, where she worked as a claims examiner for the Bureau of Workers Compensation. Linda was a very loving and extremely generous person with a hilarious sense of humor. She very much loved her family and friends, animals (especially cats) and sports. Linda had a strong work ethic and was a good cook. Her loving and fun spirit touched many lives, and she will be very missed. Linda is survived by her mother, Mary Caley of Collins; siblings, Maryann (Art) Miller, Pat (Bob) Johannsen, Maureen Dreschel, all of Collins; Bill (Jessica) Durning of Fairbanks, AK, Bob Durning of Riddle, OR, Mike (Debbie) Durning of Ruggles, Robin Chandler of Greenwich, Kathy (Kevin Shea) Durning of Westerville and Denise (Jeff) Jenkins of San Luis Obispo, CA; numerous nieces and nephews and their families. Her family will greet friends Thursday, November 20th from 7-9 p.m. at Eastman Funeral Home, 200 W. Main St., New London. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 18 Park Ave, New London with Father Doug Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, New London.
