Linda J. Lorentz, age 56, of New London, died Sunday, October 28, 2007 at Fisher Titus Medical Center, Norwalk after a 10 month illness. She was born July 18, 1951 in Port Clinton, Ohio. She grew up in Oak Harbor and had lived in New London for the past 26 years. Linda was a 1969 graduate of Oak Harbor High School, a 1973 graduate of Bowling Green State University and she also obtained a second degree from Ashland University in 2000. She had worked at American Colors in Sandusky for several years. She currently had been employed at Firelands Electric Co-Op in New London for 22 years as the Director of Finance and Accounting. She attended the New London Alliance Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Angela (Benjamin) Wittman of Delaware, Ohio; her son, Ryan Lorentz of New London; her mother, Betty (Behlmer) Schmidt of Oak Harbor; her sister, Barbara (Richard) Carper of Gibsonburg, Ohio; her special friend, Jim Mitchell of New London. She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Schmidt.
Friends may call from 2 - 4 p.m. and 6 - 8 p.m. Thursday, November 1, 2007 at the Eastman Funeral Home, 200 West Main St., New London. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 2 at the New London Alliance Church, 4625 St. Rt. 162 West, New London
with Rev. Howard Bowers officiating. Burial will follow at the Nova Cemetery. Memorials if desired may be given to the American Lung Association of Ohio, 226 St. Rt. 61 East, Norwalk, Ohio 44857 and to the New London Alliance Church.
