Obituary

Linda Lee Shamhart, 74, of Norwalk, died Saturday, August 20, 2022 at Fisher Titus Medical Center. Born on February 22, 1948 in Paris, KY, she was the daughter of the late John and Virginia (nee Stanfield) Linville. Linda moved to Ohio as a young girl and attended Monroeville schools before transferring to Perkins High School where she graduated.

Linda proudly served in the United States Marine Corps and worked in food services. As a civilian she worked several places including managing the dorms for Cedar Point. Linda was an active and faithful member of the Freedom Christian Fellowship. A nature lover, she cherished time outside, tending her flowers and sitting on her deck watching and talking to the birds. Linda will be remembered as a loving mother and wife, a doting aunt, and down to earth.

Nearly 4 years ago she married her friend of over 40 years, Hugh Shamhart. She is also survived by her son, Paul Shamhart, step-sons, Fred Wagner, Bryan and Jeff Shamhart; grandchildren Chris and Todd; a brother, Sam Linville; and numerous nieces and nephews. Linda was preceded in death by a husband, Woody Burdue, and brother John Linville.

Friends and family will be received on Wednesday, August 24, at the Freedom Christian Fellowship, 4935 State Rt 601, Norwalk, from 2 p.m. until the time of services beginning at 3
