Linda Lou Simmerer, 67, of Wellington, passed away surrounded by her family on Thursday, August 3, 2017 at Manor Care Health Services in North Olmstead. Born in Wayneburg, PA on December 13,1949, she was the daughter of the late Charles Knecht and Ivy (nee Garrison) Knecht. Linda had grown up in Wellington and graduated in 1968. Linda loved to dance and was involved in competitions. She also enjoyed the great outdoors and camping. She had worked at the Marriott Sheraton for many years. Survivors include her siblings; Brenda McQuate of Wellington, Diane Geiger of North Olmstead, Maureen Becker of Elyria, Ilene Swinksi of Bay Village, and Russell Knecht; 4 nieces, 3 nephews, and many great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and her niece Tammy. Services were held on Monday, August 7, 2017 at Greenwood Cemetery in Wellington.
